About Us
Meadowlark was founded by Scott McEntire who saw the need to bring professionalism to the landmen industry. A part owner of a recruiting agency that vets and trains attorneys to be landmen, Scott saw the opportunity to pair the legal profession with the title profession. A former litigator, Scott cut his teeth as a landman in the Barnett Shale and has multiple play experience.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a Masters of Science in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Scott is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Wichita Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen, the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Young Professionals in Energy chapters in Wichita, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen. Scott serves as Meadowlark's Principal.
Cody Dumas serves as Vice President of Land. From the greater Houston area, Cody holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas A & M University and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Florida Coastal School of Law. As someone from an oil family, Cody is well-versed in complex Texas and Kansas title issues. Cody is a member of the Wichita Association of Petroleum Landman and the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Ken McEntire, an engineer by training, serves as the Director of Recruiting. Ken has 40 plus years of corporate experience of problem solving, team building and talent identification. A highly detail oriented and thorough individual, Ken is responsible for vetting and checking the background of potential candidates. In addition to his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, Ken took graduate courses in business law and contracts at Southern Methodist University.

Barney Cansler serves as Chief Financial Officer. Barney Graduated form Wichita State University with a Bachelor of Buisness Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting. He followed this with several graduate accounting courses at Wichita State University and Kansas Newman University. His professional career includes 25 years as a practicing certified public accountant, serving clients in oil and gas and various other industries. It also includes 17 years as a tax analyst at an international tax software company. Barney Served for 25 years as a volunteer on the Board of Trustees of the Wichita public television station, including 5 years as corporate Treasurer and 2 years as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
